Hello, everyone...
Well, I did the Sistine Chapel 2 weekends ago and this past weekend, I just did one at Belmont Shore. I can't believe that I have actually done 13 events this year already. Just one more to go and I will have done 14. This is 2 more than I have expected but it's all good. I can't wait to go to Sarasota, FL for the International Street Painting Festival. I am all excited because I will be able to see first hand many many international artists.

This coming weekend, I will be doing another one and this one is in Downtown San Dieog in Little Italy. This time, it's going to be a group thing led by Artist Cecelia Linayao. We are to create a simplied replica of the famous Sistine Chapel... well, I will make sure to post them... wish me luck...

I, Madonnari @ San Luis Obispo 2011 (09/10 - 9/11)

Well, I drove to San Luis Obispo for the I, Madonnari event held on 9/10 & 9/11. Left Long Beach @ 10am on Friday. Stopped at a couple of vista point on the way. (once along the coastline & once in the mountain...) both stops had a nice view. Arrived at San Luis Obispo event site around 3:30pm. Walked around to get the feel of the area. It's actually a very nice town. I liked it. Well, went back on Sat morning for the event @ 7am but it was drizzling non-stop for 2 hours... finally it stopped at 9am and the ground was somewhat dried by 9:30am. Everyone pretty much just sat & waited till it finally dried as well. Once we started, it was non-stop till it started to get dark. The day became nice in mid day and got hot at one point. But around 7pm, people started to say it would rain overnight. Next day I went back to finish my chalk art ( I was 2/3 done) and there it was, most people's drawing were washed away by rain. It only had a ghost image. Everyone pretty much had to go back and repaint to bring out the color again.. well it was an experience but I did well..... check it out on my Streetpainting page...

Well, this event 9/17 at Marketplace, Long Beach has been cancelled. I was really looking forward to this one since it's local. Long Beach is a huge place so they should try to have another one like maybe at the Pike or the marina.. somewhere..
Anyway, for those who were thinking of checking me out at the event, sorry, it won't happen. If you have the time to drive to Carlsbad, I will be doing one there.... check out the remaining schedule on the home page. All the events remaining this year are confirmed... and hope to see you there...

I was just wondering... what do people write on their blog? Just anything? but anything seems too broad. I often don't know what I should write... Today's happening?
Well, today I met my school friends from Okinawa... weird. I haven't seen one of them for like 15 years?? She still looks the same. Her husband the same... now they have 2 kids... really cute. They will grow up to be very good looking.
The other friend, maybe saw her last year.... but funny that looks like we haven't really changed.. just a few lines more around the eyes... heheh

Corona Street Painting Festival ....

I need to update more often on my own website. Well, today was Street Painting Festvial... sorry that this event was not mentioned earlier. I actually received an email on Tuesday from one of the organizer from Temecula Street Painting Festival. I totally forgot that there was an event at Corona and she sent the artists an email about it. I signed up right away. It was a rather small but fun event. One Day from 7am - 5pm. The volunteers were very nice. They even have enough tents for all the artists. How nice. Thank God that helped me from being over exposed to the sun...
Anyway, I did a piece called "St. Anthony & Jesus Christ" which the original artwork was by Paul Troger, an Austrian Artist. I selected this one because I wanted to do something of traditon or classic art. After searching many photos from the internet, I found this. I like the fact that it was different from most traditional paintings you have seen in the past.
I think I did a pretty good job. It was a challenge since this was a one day event and I wasn't sure if I were able to handle it.
I did and did well.  Well, check out the Street painting Section....
thanks

Wow, I didn't know that I haven't updated my blog for a month. Well, I was quite busy to be honest. The first 2 weeks was packing, moving and unpacking. Finally got the place settled somewhat and then, I had to prepare my trip to Orlando..
It was a nice trip. Didn't get to really see much but met some really nice people. Went to see my nephew as well.
At the Orlando Art  & Living Expo, my entry to the Chalk Art Competition got Best in Show. I was surprised that I won. I thought I might had a chance to get 2nd or 3rd prize but 1st !! Awesome. Totally unexpected but very happy. it made the trip even more worthwhile. Please check out my Latest Street Painting from Orlando.
Well, I better start preparing for my next one...
