How I got involved with Street Paintings...

One day in early 2009, I was searching on the internet for interesting subject to paint but instead, I learned about Street Painting and Chalk Art and its origin. I was totally amazed by this art form and how people can create such beautiful work in such short period of time. I searched further and learned that there was one Chalk Art Event held in Long Beach which is where I live so I decided to give myself a try to see what it is all about. It sounded fun to spend a day outdoor drawing. Haven't really done much chalk drawings, I told myself, "just go for it." Once I started, I really got into it. Surrounded by people taking pictures, asking questions, etc..it was an amazing experience. I didn't know that I was actually quite good with chalk. After that first experience, I was instantly hooked and wanted more. I started looking
for the next event and found the Pasadena Chalk Festival. It was a 2 days event and a more challenging one. This is how I rediscovered myself again with art and
I know, there is no turning back...
